Mercedes GLA 45 AMG Concept teased
This was a surprise – the Mercedes GLA 45 AMG Concept. With Mercedes take on a compact SUV with the new GLA revealed at Frankfurt in September, we’d expected Mercedes would put the 4WD power plant from the A 45 AMG and CLA 45 AMG under the skin of the new GLA to make a very hot compact SUV. But we hadn’t expected it yet.
New Mercedes S Class Coupe caught on video ahead of production debut
The new Mercedes S Class Coupe – the coupe version of the 2014 Mercedes S Class and a replacement for the old Mercedes CL – arrived as a concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. And it looked very good. Now, with a debut of the production version of the S-Class Coupe likely to arrive at next month’s Detroit Auto Show, we have a quick look at the new S-Class Coupe on-road in a short spy video, albeit covered in the de rigeur swirly black and white camouflage.
The Volkswagen Golf R has launched at Frankfurt
Update 31/10/09: VW Golf R UK Detail now released. We reported yesterday on much of the detail on the new Golf R, but the Golf is such a big deal for so many that we thought we ought to re-iterate, throw in a few pictures of the Golf R on the floor at Frankfurt and re-cap on the goodies on offer. The Golf R gets the same powerplant as the Scirocco R, but it also adds Volkswagen’s 4Motion AWD to the mix.
